The Magnetic Float Switch UK-61 model is part of the ELEHPD FLOAT SWITCH range. Magnetic Float Switch UK-61 model — UK-61 magnetic reed float level switch; 250V/380V, 10A, IP68, polypropylene float. ELEHPD factory direct, custom cable length on request. ELEHPD manufactures and exports low voltage electrical products from Yueqing, Zhejiang, China, supplying distributors, panel builders, M&E contractors and OEM buyers worldwide.
The magnetic float level switch uses a sealed float carrying a magnet that travels along a stem. As the liquid level rises or falls, the magnet actuates a reed switch inside the stem to open or close the circuit.
With no mechanical linkage to wear, it gives long, maintenance-free service for level alarm and pump control in clean water, tanks and vessels.
It is compact, easy to install and suitable for applications where a cable float would be obstructed or where a fixed mounting point is preferred.

Note: the parameters above are standard catalogue specifications for this float-switch family. Cable length, contact form and cable colour can be customised; confirm the final specification with the ELEHPD sales team when you request a quotation.
Only when the contact rating comfortably exceeds the motor inrush. A small single-phase pump up to the contact rating (for example 10(8) A at 250 V AC) can be switched directly; above that, or on three-phase motors, use the float as a signal into a magnetic contactor so the contacts only carry the coil current.
Base it on tank depth plus the hysteresis you need between the fill and empty points, then add about 0.5-1 m of slack for the tie-off. Remember a longer cable lowers the trip point, so order a standard length (2, 3, 5, 10 or 15 m) rather than cutting to an odd size.
Use a float switch for non-conductive liquids, sludge and single on/off points, and where the switch must drive the pump directly. Use an electrode (conductivity) switch for clean conductive water and where several level points are needed from one controller.
At least IP68 for a float that is continuously submerged in a sump or tank. Check the temperature range covers both the liquid and any steam or frost above it, and choose an oil- and chemical-resistant cable jacket for sewage pits.
