Frequently asked questions about the Air Filter

How do I size a panel fan?

Estimate the total heat dissipation inside the enclosure, decide the acceptable internal temperature rise, then select an airflow that removes that heat. As a first pass, 1 m3/min of airflow removes roughly 55 W for a 10 K rise at sea level.

Do I need a filter with the fan?

Anywhere with airborne dust, yes. The filter keeps conductive dust off the terminals and busbars; without it, the fan simply pushes contamination through the panel.

What voltage are the fans available in?

AC and DC options exist across the family. Confirm the voltage from the specification table or send your panel supply and we will match it.

Can these be used for condensation control?

For condensation you normally want an enclosure heater plus a thermostat or hygrostat rather than a fan alone. We can quote the heater and control together with the fan.
