How to specify the right Box
- Set the IP rating from the environment: IP20 indoors, IP65 for wash-down or outdoor
- Size the enclosure around the DIN-rail modules plus wiring space and gland entry
- Check the material: sheet steel, stainless or insulating polycarbonate
- Confirm the internal temperature rise and whether ventilation or filtering is needed

Which IP rating do I need for outdoor installation?
IP65 is the practical minimum for exposed outdoor use and IP66 for wash-down areas. In coastal or chemically aggressive sites also confirm the material and finish, since corrosion is usually the first failure mode.
How do I size the enclosure?
Add up the DIN-rail module widths you need, then allow roughly 20-30 % spare rail and enough depth for wiring bends plus any gland plates. Undersizing forces cable routing that damages insulation.
Can the enclosures be supplied with a custom cut-out layout?
Yes. Custom drilling, cut-outs, silk-screen printing and pre-assembled internal rails can be arranged on qualified volumes.
Is ventilation needed in the panel?
Only if the internal heat load raises the temperature beyond the components' rating. Add the total dissipation of the devices, then choose filtered fans or louvers to keep the internal temperature within the rated ambient.
