Water Pump Level Control Solutions

Reliable float switches and liquid level controllers for pumping stations, sumps, sewage, wells and booster systems.

ELEHPD float switches and level controllers turn a pump on and off automatically as the water level rises and falls. A sealed polypropylene float with a microswitch (or a magnetic / reed sensor for narrow spaces) tilts or moves with the liquid, switching the circuit to start or stop the pump, open a valve or raise an alarm. Rated IP68 for permanent immersion and built for clean water, wastewater, mild acid and alkali and light industrial duty, they are the simplest, most cost-effective pump-control method for distributors, panel builders and OEMs worldwide.

Where ELEHPD controls pumps

Pumping stations

Automatic start / stop and high / low alarms for municipal and industrial lift stations.

Sump & basement drainage

Pump-down control that keeps pits and cellars dry and prevents flooding.

Sewage & wastewater

IP68 float switches for dirty water, effluent and process pits.

Borehole & well pumps

Level control for wells, cisterns and borehole booster sets.

Booster & rooftop tanks

Pump-up (fill) control that keeps pressure tanks and roof tanks topped up.

Flood & stormwater

Overflow and drainage protection for yards, car parks and pits.

Irrigation

Tank and reservoir level control for drip, sprinkler and pivot systems.

Rainwater harvesting

Switching that manages harvested rainwater buffers and transfer pumps.

How a float switch controls your pump

Two standard wirings cover almost every pump: pump-down (drainage) — the float starts the pump when the level is high and stops it when the pit is empty; and pump-up (filling) — the float starts the pump when a tank is low and stops it when the tank is full. The 3-core cable (black / blue / brown) gives both modes from one float, so the same switch serves drainage and filling duties. For safety, pair the float with a high-level alarm float or a dry-run / over-level sensor.

Frequently asked questions

Can one float switch do both pump-down and pump-up control?

Yes. The 3-core black / blue / brown cable lets the same float start a pump on rising level (filling) or on falling level (draining) depending on how you connect it.

What IP rating do your pump float switches have?

Our cable float switches are rated IP68CS for permanent immersion; the body is sealed polypropylene with a microswitch inside.

Which float switch is best for sewage or dirty water?

Any IP68 cable float switch works for wastewater; for narrow wells or tight pits a magnetic (UK61) or dry-reed (UK71) level controller is a better fit.

Do you supply different cable lengths?

Yes. UKY and CX-M15 floats are stocked in 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 m and custom lengths are available on request.

Do you support OEM / ODM and private label?

Yes. ELEHPD manufactures float switches and level controllers for distributors and OEMs worldwide, with custom colours, markings and packaging.
